Declan Goodwin

Solicitor

I am a junior lawyer developing my expertise in general commercial matters and intellectual property. I assist Ian Grimley in our commercial team which has specialist experience in advising technologyand digital services companies. I also assist the firm’s corporate team with transactional work on occasion.

I began my career as a paralegal at Bond Pearce and then trained as a lawyer with Maitland Walker. During my training I completed seats in commercial property, commercial litigation, corporate/commercial and competition law. A great deal of the issues I dealt with in most of my training seats centred around competition law, intellectual property and commercial contracts. I also completed a diploma in EU competition law at King’s College London during my training contract.

Outside of work I enjoy trying to bring some Welsh flair to the rugby fields in and around Bristol. I also enjoy visiting the many wonderful restaurants that Bristol has to offer.
