Blu Wireless has raised £12.7m to help fund the rollout of its 5G telecoms technology across the UK, including deploying a 5G network for major railway franchisee First Group.

The growth funding for the Bristol-headquartered telecoms technology company has come from existing investors Arm, Calculus Capital, Kendall and MGL, as well as a major new investor in Guinness Asset Management. Blu Wireless is already working with telecoms providers and semiconductor companies across the globe.

Roxburgh Milkins have been supporting Blu Wireless since 2010. Charles van der Lande and Richard Hopkins provided legal advice for this funding round.
