Bristol based Premier Veterinary Group plc (PVG) manages preventative animal healthcare plans for veterinary clinics and their customers, supporting millions of pet owners across the UK. PVG have now acquired the preventative animal healthcare business of the Simplyhealth Group.
The acquisition will allow the combined entity to compete more effectively and will provide PVG with increased revenue and an opportunity to achieve significant cost synergies.
PVG are well placed to take on Simplyhealth’s 1.4 million pets on plan with their advanced IT platforms and automation to establish, manage and administer all aspects of the plans on behalf of the veterinary clinics.
Acting for PVG, Roxburgh Milkins Limited supported the board through this acquisition, including the requirement to obtain a waiver from shareholders of certain aspects of the transaction under the city’s Takeover Code.
