Carl Spencer-Spear

Having joined the firm in April 2014, Carl works alongside IT and Commercial Director Ian Grimley and Associate Helen Naylor, and Carl now leads the team. 

Background: After completing his undergraduate degree and the Legal Practice Course at Cardiff University, Carl completed his training at Darwin Gray Solicitors, primarily dealing with commercial and corporate matters. Carl also spent a year working in-house with a leading company credit reference agency. 

In practice: Carl advises on the full range of the firm’s commercial projects, as well as assisting with commercial contract and IP aspects of the firm’s corporate transactional work. 

In his own words: "I really enjoy my role at Roxburgh Milkins, thanks to the varied and interesting work we do and the great clients we work with." 

In his spare time: Carl is a movie and sci-fi lover, Cardiff City and Liverpool FC fan, and general sports watcher (to the dismay of his husband). Carl also enjoys supporting young aspiring lawyers, including via his mentoring work with UWE and part-time role as an Associate Lecturer with the Open University.
