A hugely experienced intellectual property lawyer, specialising in technology-related issues.

Background: Ian trained at Pinsent Curtis, before moving to Wragge & Co. Waving farewell to his Midlands homeland, he next spent seven years at Osborne Clarke, before joining us in 2007.

In practice: As head of our commercial team, Ian works with both providers and users of technology and digital services, which gives him valuable perspective. He also advises on general commercial contracts and data protection.

In his own words: "I love the fact that I've been working with many of my clients for 10 years or more. That means I really can become part of their team. And I find that the longer the relationship, the more value I can add to the client's business."

In his spare time: Ian can often be seen in skin-tight Lycra (he also has a bike), or falling off a snowboard.
